Deutsche Borse-Operated Xetra Exchange Lists First Blockchain Company

Advanced Blockchain AG has been listed on the Xetra digital stock exchange in Germany, which is the first blockchain development company to be added. The exchange is operated by Deutsche Borse.

Of the $165 billion total cash markets for Deutsche Borse, Xetra had around $149 billion in May of 2019. The average daily trading volume was over $6 billion.

The firm was listed earlier in the year on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, beginning in January 2019. It had also been listed on the Dusseldorf stock exchange. Lang & Schwarz is the financial services holding firm that facilitated the listing on Deutsche Borse.

Advanced Blockchain AG has signed a letter of intent with a telecom provider which has not yet been named. There are plans to build a blockchain-based protocol which would be designed for billing in the network of IoT. Details have yet to be finalized, including the financial aspects.

Deutsche Borse has moved into the blockchain space by entering into partnership with other companies, including Sygnum from Singapore and Swisscom from Switzerland.
